| Who's Measuring Your Staffing Results? Is your company on the 'hunt' for specific talent? I'm not talking about the generic administrative person (yet even these people with the right skills are getting harder and harder to identify and attract), it's the highly skilled technical people, management and sales/marketing personnel that are at a premium as we approach the end of the decade. Do you have a measurement system to determine the effectiveness of your current staffing methods? Do you compare results versus budget for your efforts on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis? Do you test new identification methods each year to improve your staffing results? Do you use your previous or current results as a baseline to measure historical methods with new methods? Human Resources have largely operated on a reactive basis, due to the large number of unknowns in determining specific skill needs, attrition, economic and market changes. No one has control over these unknowns, however, the one area EVERY company can control is staying abreast of what's working and to what degree on an ongoing basis. Beck/Eastwood is offering a variety of ala carte services specifically designed to assist your company in establishing a simple, flexible measurement system and will consult with your department to test new and different methods of staffing to ensure you're maximizing your staffing budget for the highest caliber of talent. Whether we're talking full time staff, salaried professionals, contract, interim or temporary employees, there are a number of innovative means to evaluate staffing methods and to embark on a 'continuous improvement' path toward the evolution of necessary skills and talent in your organization. Are you achieving the quality levels of temporary employees you need? Does your department have an approved vendor program with local staffing services? Does your IT or MIS department augment full time staff with contracted programmers and technical computer personnel? What have been your experiences? Effective? Neutral? Expensive/Ineffective? How do you measure the results of your employment advertising? DO YOU measure the results of your advertising? Do you test ads in multiple publications and compare the results with historically used media? Do you wish you had a 'Relationship Manager' to deal with the administrative and logistical distribution of assignments to employment services and search firms? Have you explored relationships with search firms outside of traditional contingency relationships? Beck/Eastwood is uniquely qualified to assist you in developing a more smoothly integrated outsourcing program for your outside staffing firms. As Relationship Managers, B/E will administer all or part of your employment staffing needs with outside services, including screening current resources, preferred vendor programs, identification of competitive or back up services. How can we help? The bottom line in staffing is getting the highest degree of talent in the most effective manner. The methods needed are changing as rapidly as technology changes. The old methods aren't as effective in every case as they were even a year ago. Re-engineering is a term which applies as much to staffing issues as it does to any other part of a company's strategic planning. And Beck/Eastwood is here to assist you in any way we can. Inquire about our cutting edge measurement and relationship management services to ensure your efforts aren't due to a lack of control and measurement. |
